M.D. and Char Fischer turned a little Texaco consigneeship consisting of a 7-year-old truck, a desk, and a chair, into the Midtex Oil of today, which has 110 employees, 50 trucks, 4 locations, and wholesale service to hundreds of customers throughout South and Central Texas. M.D. graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in civil engineering and a commission in the US Army Corp of Engineers as a second lieutenant: He credits his success to a combination of this life experience, his upbringing, some careful decision making, and a little bit of luck. With Char in accounting and M.D. in operations and selling, the Fischers poured many dedicated years of hard work into seeing Midtex Oil grow from its humble beginnings into a formidable contender in this competitive industry.

Rodney is the second generation of leadership in this family-owned business, and his prior experience in construction and civil engineering enable him to bring a unique perspective to the table.
For nearly 30 years he has helped Midtex Oil look to the future and stay competitive in this dynamic industry, but his metrics for the company’s success extend beyond numbers: He is passionate about creating a company culture that champions every team member of Midtex Oil. His personal values make serving both his coworkers and customers the joy and driving force of his role.
